Sie trägt den Erwartungen insbesondere wissenschaftlicher Nutzer/innen Rechnung, für sie relevante Informationen „aus einer Hand“ angeboten zu bekommen. Zugleich geht es darum, die häufig mit hohem Kostenaufwand lizenzierten E-Ressourcen in möglichst optimaler Weise sicht- und nutzbar zu machen. Vor diesem Hintergrund hat der Bereich „Bibliothek und wissenschaftliche Information“ am WZB unterschiedliche Lösungen zur Bündelung lizenzierter E-Ressourcen (Metasuche, Discovery-Lösungen, hybride Systeme) in einem Suchportal geprüft. Letztlich fiel die Entscheidung zugunsten der Lizenzierung von „Summon“ (mit dem Linkresolver „360 Link“) aus dem Hause Serials Solutions. Das Webinar gibt einen Einblick sowohl in den Auswahl- und Entscheidungsprozess für eine Portallösung am WZB als auch in die während der Implementierung von „Summon“ gemachten Erfahrungen.
